PART # 2: ORBEA RISE - LOWER MAIN LINKAGE AXLE AND BEARING SERVICE

Yep, just cost me 30 quid to get the shimano tool for the chainring (I'll probably need it at some point though), also a bit baffled (apart from space) why they have used such small bearings for the main pivot, they could at least have put 4 in! Yet to do this part of the job so no idea how...

    Recommended Pivot/Headset bearing set/supplier

Hi all, looking to do a bearing swap - back of swing arm were goosed (had some old ones in a drawer) so decided I might as well do the lot. Obviously want good bearings, any UK supplier recommended?? Also whats the word on the headset/bearings, stripped a while ago and was all fine, but might...

    1000 miles!

Swapped the factory after maybe 150 miles and still on the MM/BB softs, front mint, rear getting a little rounded off but not ready for changing yet. So probably 850 miles on the replacements so far.

    1000 miles!

Just cracked the 1000 mile/1 year point on my H30.... Story so far...... Absolutely love the bike, wish the suspension was a bit plusher, but it's a lot better than my last full suss and I suspect you can chase that dragon forever!!!! Bike goes like a train, battery is great, ride up thing...

Stock H15 rear hub is destroyed after 4 weeks

Is the front an alloy axle too do you know? Is that a waste of time too? Might tell the shop it's not satisfactory if it doesn't come with the axle.

Stock H15 rear hub is destroyed after 4 weeks

I wouldn't trust that soft Aluminium axle, it's fitted again, but I had to file it and it didn't just fit easily on the non drive side, frankly had to force it on due to deforming - I wouldn't trust it on the bike for any longevity!! The steel Orbea alternative is about 50 quid I think, if you...

Stock H15 rear hub is destroyed after 4 weeks

Hi, bit of a worrying update on the factory wheels, finally got word from the dealer and orbea have sent a replacement freehub - supposedly upgraded. No new wheel and no replacement hub. I've contacted them and told them it's pointless as the rubbish axle is already scrap just from trying to get...

Serious problem developed with the Rise...

Started happening a few months ago, but seems to be getting a lot worse recently. Been out riding 4 or 5 times in the last two weeks and bike keeps ending up at the pub, not sure if it's an electrical issue or the headset?? Fortunately thanks to boost I can manage to escape after 3 or 5 pints...

    Main Pivot Protection

I've actually got one of those on the front and used the short fender on the back - moved the proper rear fender they brought out but might have to look at this option again, it did cover better lower down! Might have a swap around!

    Main Pivot Protection

You can get neoprene sheet on Amazon - but I remembered I've got a big sheet of roof covering rubber that should be ideal.

    Main Pivot Protection

That mudguard offers much better protection there than the Muckynutz, it actually directs the crud right at the pivot, might have to find something to make a cover like that. The advantage of the mucknutz is it's a lot longer with the extension on and protects your saddle/backside..

    Main Pivot Protection

Another cracking ride out on the Rise tonight, and back out tomorrow so she's sat charging up! BUT - the linkage is a crap magnet, I've seen a few posts with zip tying some neoprene etc to cover it. What are people doing out there, would consider a new guard etc (using muckynutz at the moment)...

    Orbea rise mullet—without swapping shock

I'm on about not wasting your time with the "mullet" - as I bet 95% of what people feel is the geometry on a bike not designed with shorter chain stays.

    Orbea rise mullet—without swapping shock

Could you put a 160mm fork on to get the geometry - and actually raise the BB height in the process?

    Orbea rise mullet—without swapping shock

"gyroscopic effect delta" :D🤣 How to let people know you aren't an engineer without saying you aren't an engineer.... "Combine that with more leg clearance" "different bottom bracket drop front to rear" 😂🤣 It's a bit slacker, and you prefer that, just accept it... You wanted a...
