If your heel is stretched-dropped when landing, the kickback pushes hard and overstretches the achilles. I try not to allow my feet to drop down too much. It is usually just one foot. Never used a KB device.

Ya don't know what ya don't know. I get a strained achilles every summer at the bike park due to kickback. But it is not something you will understand is happening until it is pointed out.

That was not the point. The prior poster asserted that a 32t afforded more clearance than a 34 and negated the need for bash protection. That is untrue. The frame already protects a 34, according to Troydon

The 181 already protects a 34t CR. A 32t only slows the bike down.

What you are trying to do is reduce free stroke. I think you are confused about the adjustments. Reach adjust is what moves the lever significantly in relation to the bar. Moving this before bleed will not affect your final "free stroke" in the slightest. The bite point adjuster has a...
