I was warned by the LBS that a 40 T might not fit as it could cause issues with the chain guide and possibly even hit the frame. Has anyone put a 40T on a 2021 Trance E 29er.
My 2021 Trance came with a 36 T chain ring and most of my riding is easy not going up steep grades. Most of the time I am in the two smallest rear gears. I would like to go to a larger front ring to get more chain contact in the rear sprocket. Any problems with that and suggestions. I looked on...
I now know more about these chargers than my LBS. These things have been out for a while, where is the Giant support info on these. Thanks to the people here that really know.
Got this answer from a guy in Poland on another suite;
"When a Giant battery is over, say, 92%, the charger will stay red and no charging on an attempt to recharge. It is normal. Discharge the battery to 90% then you can recharge it to 100%."

Yep same issue. Battery fully charged with smart charger and charger showing solid red light. Batter is fully charged so should be blinking green. Stupid smart chargers.
No problems with the bike but not sure about the smart charger. No app installed yet. The charger has light signals for charging. But the instructions are not clear on the meaning. To me is says:
Red blinking= charging issue
Green constant=Charging completed
Green blinking=During charging .
Red...
I ride mostly easy fire roads due to my lower ability. Lots of streets. I have the 36T but might like the 38T so I could get out of the small rear gears. I never get into the larger 3 in the rear.
