I didn't mean to start a air vs coil war, i just oresumed we were taking air shocks. Öhlins coils are quality product also.
Fox and rockshox market their stuff a lot for mtb use. Öhlins is a racing shock for cars and bikes, so they might not spend money that much on mtb marketing.
Not staying...
In my undertanding the rear frame cross "beam" and seat tube are same in all sizes. So 65mm travel shock fits when mino link high. When mino link low 60 mm is really close but should not hit the seat tube (depending on manufacturing tolerances)
The frame size mainly affects the room for...
Different, longer, shock. Aircan sticker in not the same.
Lbs has probably accidentally mixed someone elses shock there.
OR
The picture on the left is taken with a potato/zoomed in so much the sticker craphics blend to an even gray mess. Which then would mean there is a slight variance in...
Well, then again. Alloy frame can take quite a beating and just get scratches and dings but the same hits will destroy a carbon frame, so it's lose lose option in a way 😐
If i could get a carbon frame as warranty upgrade for a sixth of the price I'd take that and put the bike, if i didn't want a carbon one, for sale at a higher price it would be as 9.7
In my opinion the only problem with carbon frame is that it cant take hits like the alloy one.
So just dont...
At least my aluminium frame came with New frame, battery cover for the battery, New rear axle, New bearings in linkages, New shock bolts and bearings and New knockblock.
Also $250 for +$1500 carbon frame is a Good deal in my mind.
Anyone with carbon frames?
I presume the structure is the same, the battery compartment tube is bonded to the bottom bracket, but is the bottom bracket in carbon frames carbon or aluminium?
This cannot be. When you put smaller diameter wheel, the wheel turns faster and the sensor turns faster - > assist cuts earlier than actual land speed of 25.
The sensor reads only the frequency of the magnet passing the sensor (how many times per second) and calculates with the preset wheel...
And for those without warranty some fancy aeromotive riveting is the way to stiching your frames together 😄
I'm guessing the battery compartment tube is some 7xxx series aluminium so it cannot be welded and thats why they bonded it to the bottom bracket. The bottom bracket is welded to the seat...
My replacement frame comes tomorrow so i can
I'm pretty sure they will not want to tell if it was common 😄
Retail prices would plummet and New onew would stay in the stores.
But it seems their warranty seems to work for now. I'm going to ask for a warranty upgrade to a carbon one if this New...
Test if the wheel magnet sensor in the rear triangle reacts to magnet. If not, the sensor is gone.
The replacement is a bit pain in the butt as you need to cut the rear brake line and possi ly drop the motor to get the sensor routed.
This is warrantied by trek and i suggest you get them to do it.
