Hi, I've recently started to get an issue when charging my BT-E8010 battery with the EC-E6000 charger.
After charging perfectly normally, when it gets up to an estimated 90% of charge the orange LED on the EC-E6000 starts to blink. On the BT-E8010 battery the first light stays green and the...
Once you're at the top of Ditchling Beacon there's 7 miles mainly downhill to the finish line. It's possible to do it with the motor off.
If it's 54 miles long then you'll get to the foot of DB around the 46 miles mark. I'm not sure what route it takes over the North Downs but there's a few...
The issue with the L2B is going to be crossing Ditchling Beacon at the South Downs. I'd say a typical EMTB would be able to get to the foot of this hill from London but it wouldn't have the energy to lift you 800ft to the top.
Once you've made that climb the majority of the rest of the journey...
Commencal do a Hard Tail model of their Meta Power. There's a MAXMAX POWER 2019 (EUR 2,599) and a META HT POWER ESSENTIAL 650B+ 2017 (EUR 2,499)
on their website. Look in the 18/19 section.
Oh, and I just noticed they have a couple of new 2020 HTs in the Meta Power 27 section too.
I found this rubber sticker / guard in the box my bike came in. Do you know where it should go?
It has an adhesive peel on the back and a code number VLF-***. Is this a unique identifier?
All advice is gratefully received, thanks.
Yes, that was my worry. I'm not sure I'll make the distance if I add the Downs to the route. Are there safe ways to hug the south of the Downs without getting up too high?
Pukmeister, I wonder if you know the best on/off road route to cycle from Fareham to Chichester? I was thinking of cycling to my friend's place in Titchfield from Brighton. I know the route to Chi-town but wouldn't know the safest route after that. How reliable is the Route 2 NCR?
It could be a stretch but thankfully the Downs between Petersfield and Worthing are not as demanding as those at Brighton. If you eco 90% of the time and trail 10% you might just make it.
If you make it all the way to Steyning (SDW between Worthing and Brighton) then there's no way you'll make...
I had a one-in-a-million encounter with forum member Ted Turbine when I was on a bike ride at the weekend. I was in an area of Worthing I haven't been to in years and decided to find a route up to Cissbury Ring on the South Downs. The A24/A27 roundabout looked too busy so I made it round to the...
As long as people are fine with me posting a HT here's my pic of my META on the South Downs near Ditchling Beacon. I did run out of batteries that day (1 bar / forced eco mode) but I needed to be taught a lesson on battery management, and where better than a location that's downhill all the way...
On mine it's under the bottom part of the battery holder on the downtube. I have three sets of numbers/characters around it and one of them matched the ID on my invoice.
No, no spare battery. I did 23 miles before it forced me into eco mode and I'm 14.5st, the bike is XL and I did some big climbs on the way, there was also strong westerly winds to battle over the tops of the Downs. It cut out just before Saddlescombe Farm so I had to push/eco my way up to the...
I'll keep an eye out for you on the Downs.
I tested my battery with a trip over Telscombe, then onto the South Downs Way but my battery ran out just before I reached Devils Dyke. I could squeek home in eco mode though. It taught me about how I should ride differently on an eMTB so that I don't...
