It is not recommended to lift the bike from the seat when the post is down. Air can pass the IPF which will eventually require a full rebuild to correct. You'll end up with a post that feels like it's sucked down.
As suggested above. Test all the rotors on a truly flat surface. Glass or whatever. I highly doubt they are off 3mm. A mm looks likes like a mile when your playing with the limited space between the pads.
Yes. I did the downgrade and installed an old style TCU on my Gen 3 Levo Pro so I can still use Blevo. I did have to do an update on Turbo Studio in the shop to get it to work.
Are you sure the power cable is fully inserted? Some of them need a good amount of pressure to fully seat. If you just let the magnets do their thing and hold it in place it doesn't always work. Mine current one definitely takes some force. My previous bike didn't care.
Well, on the bright side Specialized offered 50% discount on a replacement motor for a non-warranty failure. Not sure if this is new policy or how long they will offer that, but that's what was offered for mine. Made it too cheap to pass up. I'll open up the old motor and see what the damage...
Does the upgrade have an improved sprag clutch bearing? I think I remember you saying these are being damaged due to crank arms hitting rocks rather than just moisture. My bike is rarely ever wet, but I do tend to smash my cranks into our rocky trails.
Has anyone ordered a pair of the sprag bearings and attempted to replace them? Mine are getting worse by the ride. Not sure if it's a DIY job. I might just order a new motor and then attempt the bearing replacement just to have a spare working motor. I can't get more than a year out of them...
