Sram Nx or Shimano xt ?

In fact it is exactly what I expected, and isn't as bad as I expected. I think it was the OP that was asking for a comparison actually :)

Sram Nx or Shimano xt ?

I just got a Norco Range VLT with Sram NX, seems like cheap junk compared to my XT gear on the Merida. Seems a strange spec for a bike with top of the line forks and shock but will replace within 12 months anyway. I thought I would hate the single shift but it's fine. Never had any dramas with...

    E160 - 2.8s too flimsy?

You will drop the BB height by 12.5 mm by going to a non plus tyre due to the smaller diameter (705mm v 730mm). I wouldn't recommend that on the Merida E160. I have the same bike and turfed the Minnions for a 29er front wheel/tyre (Eddie Current 2.6) and an Eddie 2.8 rear. Epic combo and raises...

    Rhain E-MTB

160/150 mullet setup seems to be a sweet spot (for Sydney riders anyways), look at the sales of the Meridas for example. Be good to see an Aussie eBike!

    Merida E160 900E Battery / motor problem ?

I had an issue with my 2018 E160 motor cutting out whenever I went off a small drop. After much googling, cleaning the area where the wires enter the motor, etc; it turned out to be a loose connection with the battery. Some gaffer tape sorted it. Also got the W011 errors and blamed Stunlocker...

    WANTED FRONT WHEEL 29": 2019 Merida 160 900E

That's correct about the converter. 30mm ID is ideal for 2.5/2.6 tyres running at low pressures.

    WANTED FRONT WHEEL 29": 2019 Merida 160 900E

Hi there, I put a 29er wheel on the front of my Merida e160 and it is a definite improvement. I just happened to have a 30mm ID width 29er wheel sitting on another bike so I bought a boost kit (about $30) and stuck it on. My Merida wheel is a centre lock rotor so I had to put an old 6 bolt 203mm...

E Mtb Exercise v MTB Exercise

Hit the nail on the head there for me as well JimBo. The climbs where I live feature a lot of steep techy stuff that just ruins me on a regular bike. I'm finding I'm riding a lot more regularly and for longer. As long as I'm not with non-ebike riders I go as hard as I can and my average HR is...

What tyres? The Ultimate Tyre Thread

Just fitted the Eddie Currents front and rear also, burliest tyre I've ever seen. Makes the Minion DHs seem like tissue paper. 2 rides in and the grip feels insane. Heavy tyres (nearly 1.5kg each) with huge knobs, super soft rubber, haven't noticed any perceivable drag. Front is a 2.6 x 29, rear...
