When my latch broke i bought one myself then told canyon who refunded me, dead easy.

Sorry for the delayed response. I fitted a new latch and put the metal strap on to take most of the weight, the only spacer is a bit of inner tube to take up a bit of slack. There are some zip ties in the photo which were the first attempt, they've been removed. Easy fix, try it.

Quick update, no issues at all after the mod.

Mines a small and broke pretty quickly. As i said before, they where having problems on the demo day i attended, so have known since the release. I rode a small then, same problem. On a positive note, second ride on some proper Welsh tech after my fix and no issues.

Has anyone had an issue with the battery connection coming loose?. I ask because it happened to me on the demo day i went to, the technicians were stuffing bits of carboard in as spacers. I was assured that the bikes they had were the first off the line and that later bikes had been altered...

I'm 5'9 so in between like you, but i rode both at a demo day and instantly loved the small. The medium felt a bit of a hand full on trails i know well. I did find it slightly cramped while seated though with the TT at 584. Reach is spot on, and for me, i think that's what matters.
