    Reactions to using. Bosch 2

First couple of rides using auto with more torque. Initial thoughts were wow such easy cruising on the flat. Then climbing from my village a doddle and quick. Second ride again a comfortable climb then shopping including 3 kg. Of dog food etc followed by the climb back to my village. Loved...

What are people using for ride logging? Bosch Flow app, Strava or Garmin?

I like the flow app used to my android phone with power pack. Longer rides I can preload gps routes for navigation which works most of the time and predicts later climbs. Perhaps better for me as I mix on and off road riding on my Cube hybrid. One snag is that the bike only has Purion 200 so the...

    Bosch Flow 1.34 features

Have updated but my friends tell me not to attempt the tricks at my age

Should I still be on here?

Ok I am almost 82 years old and have changed to riding a Cube Reaction Pro 800 because I am no longer strong enough to manage the Scott 720. The bike is set up for both on and Orr road with gravel tyres and I ride on road with Lancaster Women’s Cycling Group and off road with M0tley Crew in...

    Flow app

Had a weird occurrence yesterday- started a ride near Lancaster but the app created a straight line section from Morecambe. Managed to crop this on Strava without changing distance travelled but can’t find a way to do so in the app

A stronger Bosch SX and improvements for the CX coming on July 14th

Managed yesterday to install the upgrade using my pixel 8 phone. Did need initially to remove my bike then reconnect it. The torque upgrade was available afterwards after switching the unit on

    Purion phone link duration

Riding the 100 mile RTTS at the weekend the link to the flow app went down twice. Any ideas please

20mph speed government petition is live!

I would fully support an increase to 20mph. I am 81 years old and ride on road with Lancaster Women's Cycling Group but struggle to keep up with the road bikes on flat rides. This weekend rode the 100 mile Ride to the Sun and the first 43 flat miles on a heavy hybrid mtb averaging 14,2 mph were...

    my bike

Cube Reaction Pro 800 hybrid mtb. Very versatile but has anyone tried a second pair of wheels with slick tyres?

    Etiquette

Am 7 months post a major surgery and aged 77. Rode my Espark round Preston Guild Wheel today as the second ride post op. Had changed back to a lighter tyre and loved the bike again as with the company I was with had hardly needed assistance. May I open a can of worms? Why do Ebike riders...

eMtb weight and lower back ?

One possibility to look at is an Emtb by Isla bikes. Don’t go off first looks - there is no suspension and a step through frame. It is lightweight and during the photo shoot for the catalogue I lifted it over a five barred gate on my own. The front forks are carbon fibre and it handles like my...

The Womens EMTB Thread - come on in ladies!

May I throw in a curve ball? Aged 72 I finally admitted my gender dysphoria to the world and started transitioning. Eight weeks ago today had my gender surgery and now have restarted riding aged 77 BUT WITH A LADIES SADDLE. Over the past ten days have ridden 80k including a fair amount off...

Can I change the handlebar switch on my Shimano steps e8000.

Been using the e7000 switch for months. Great improvement over the e8000 unit in use.

    Braking technique question

I am still riding at 77 though during Covid been riding solo and staying within my limits as A&E departments are to be avoided. Using disc brakes as a drag brake only overheats the pads - set my rear brake On the mtb tandem on fire once on a long technical descent. The idea is to brake enough...
