What's on your wrist ( watch or gizmo)?

Agreed. Cybersecurity is a thing that most folks remain blissfully ignorant of…to their detriment.

What did you buy your ebike this week?

A new front brake because the tektro brakes that came stock on the Powerfly 5 can’t be rebuilt. I mean, theoretically they can IF you could buy the gorram parts. [emoji849] My LBS is a Shimano dealer and maintains a decent selection in stock. Ergo, after fighting with bleeding the Tektro brake...

What's on your wrist ( watch or gizmo)?

Apple Watch Ultra 2 and a RoadID bracelet. I tried a Garmin Instinct Solar for a couple years and HATED it. The HR measurements were all over the place, as were the distance measurements. While the battery life was considerably better, the Apple just does a better job at everything

Yeah, that would be bad here. Like, REALLY bad.

Thank God it’s not hot yet. This time of year is about perfect for riding. Yesterday’s high was 64F (~18C).

Please send rain. Are there perhaps weekly, monthly, or annual subscriptions available? [emoji16]

I haven’t posted in ages. Have been riding, just not doing much as far as social media is concerned. Except to try and keep as accurately up to date with our “elected” fuckery here in the States. Had to spend the day over in Deming, NM. We use a veterinarian there and the puppy had her spay...

    LETS SEE YOUR RIDE FOOTAGE

So a few months ago I decided attempting a 60-mile race with a frakton of climbing would be a GREAT IDEA. The Tour of the Gila is a UCI-sanctioned series of road races here in New Mexico, USA. I signed up for The Gila Monster and chose the Medio Fondo: 60 miles with 6575' of climbing. That's 97...

If you couldn’t ride bikes anymore…

The first step? I’d get (or at least rent) a recumbent etrike and give it a whirl. If that didn’t work, I’d try my indoor trainer paired with one of those goofy MMOs. If all else has failed, only then would I give up on cycling and find some other hobby.

Negative. I have a rubber tie-down that goes across the tops of the batteries to strap them into place. That takes care of vertical movement. And the spaced cutouts in the board take care of horizontal movement and ensures airflow for cooling.

Oh, and since it’s been so long since I last posted, here’s a couple bonus pics of my bikepacking buddy, PIA.

Well, I FINALLY finished it. It’s only taken me almost 2 years to build the damn thing, but it’s done. This is my solar-charging trailer, Agnes (if you get the Star Trek reference, you’re a nerd, too). I have a 500-mile gravel and singletrack trip planned in November with a fellow bikepacker...

Ooof. Damn, at least it cools down to 28°C or so at night here. It’s been absolutely miserable, tbh. And our monsoon rains have basically been a no-show. I keep wondering when in the hell I moved to Phoenix, AZ and didn’t notice?

LOL. I figured you were setting up a “That’s no moon” joke.
