I have a 2021 trek rail which is pre smart system fitted with a purion, if I fit a kiox controller would this now be upgraded to a bosch smart system? Asking as I know there are some battery extenders available for smart system bikes, but not the pre smart system bikes.

thats great thanks, I think the lock sticker with the serial numbers in the book must be the key code, I’ll see if I can order some. have managed to get the battery in and check the total mileage which is 65 miles!!!

So I’ve collected the bike which is immaculate. Geoff’s widow had take the battery out a few years ago …… anyway she gave me a set of keys which after trying I can tell are not for the bike, so I can’t put the battery back in! Open to ideas? I’ve got the original manual which has a sticker in it...

Well the battery has charged up fine, although not tried it yet. Geoff’s widow has asked me if I can bring the bike back to my house (about 70 miles away) check it over then either sell for whatever I can get for it and return her £2000 if I get any more I can keep the extra cash.. or I buy it...
