Experienced a cassette failure today. About 700 miles on the bike (E+3) … LBS going to replace it. My chain was also really loose in the lowest gear so they’ll shorten it as well. Going to use the opportunity to replace the tires as well. Assagi up front and DHR II in the back.
I don’t have any Garmin or 3rd party sensors but I am not noticing any major difference in power usage after this update. However, one thing that seems to have gone wrong is my odometer. I had around 600 miles and after update it zeroed. 🤷🏽
I applied the update a couple days ago. But I have not been out on a ride since so I can’t comment on the details you posted. The update itself went smoothly and all seems ok from a quick ride around the block. Have a proper ride coming up this weekend. Will report if I notice anything.
6 months in I am still loving this bike. For its capabilities, its value and sheer fun. No major issue to report. After today’s ride noticed the Giant cover logo on the motor was about to come off. I do see a scratch in the front area so perhaps a rock hit it or the double sided tape gave out...
Was cleaning up my Reign E+ and noticed there are two bolts in the derailleur hanger that don’t seem to have nuts on them (see pic below - you can’t see the other side of the lower bolt but it’s the same). Is this normal? Or have mine gotten lose and fallen off?
I own a Tesla and it's common knowledge for the nickel based batteries it's not good to charge to 100% and let the battery sit there. LFP batteries in contrast want to be charged to 100% all the time. Ultimately it comes down to the chemistry of the batteries used by Giant. Does anyone have...
