Shimano brake bleed with a sex toy :) hack

I saw a similar thing on tiktoktagram, where a guy used a massage gun on the brake line to eke out micro bubbles. I thought it was total bs but curiosity got the better of me and I have a massage gun already so I gave it a try. I did my normal full gravity bleed on my XT front brake, then went...

Transporting bike on outside of car options

No, it's been put on the back burner for the minute. I'd found a few options and was considering fitting it myself to reduce costs, but I've not got round to pursuing it yet.

Best looking e-bike? Just a bit of fun.

Oh, and if Canyon ever used the Avinox motor is this, then 😲

While they have improved most of the issues with the new Mith, I still think the original is a nicer looking bike.

    First Shimano Brake Bleed

Yes, unscrew the free stroke screw a few turns, also makes sure the pistons are pushed all the way into the calipers. Lubricate the pistons before installing your brake pads

    First Shimano Brake Bleed

I saw a thread showing a guy using a message gun to remove air from his brake lines, I thought it was total bs but out of curiosity I gave it a try, it was unbelievable how much air it got out! I did my usual gravity bleed, then worked the gun up the brake lines for a few minutes, now the...

Castrol red rubber grease is great when installing new piston seals. The seals should always be lubricated before installing the pistons, use minimal oil at the very least. Glad you got it sorted 👍

Transporting bike on outside of car options

Thanks again for all the info and suggestions, chaps. I've been doing a little research and I think you're all right that a tow-bar and rack is the way to go for peace of mind and convenience, considering it will be used for long journeys 200-400 miles plus. I've found a few options from PF...

Transporting bike on outside of car options

Thanks for all the replies chaps, I thought this would be the case. I'll have a look into the suggested racks and get some proper quotes for tow-bar fitting to work out rough costs. Convenience is going to cost 😆

Transporting bike on outside of car options

I've done a quick search, there are a several threads on this but most are a few years old now and I'm wondering if there are new options. I've got a small car (fabia) and it's becoming tiresome getting the bike in and out of it, especially when it's caked in mud! So I'm looking into options...

Any one got experience with Bosch when an update bricks the controller

Yes, exact same thing happened to me. I took the bike to a certified Bosch dealer, (thankfully still in warranty period) at first the kiox wouldn't even connect to their computer to diagnose. I left it with them and after some faffery they got it to connect but said the kiox was bricked and...

    E bikes stands

I've been using one on my Cube stereo with headset cable routing with no issues, admitted since lowering the stack height I can no longer close the clasp on the bar but I just placed a rag around the stem to protect the cables. I only use it to hold the bike in the work stand though, never for...

If you could buy 5 ebikes (money no object) what would they be?

I'd equipped a state of the art work shop and build my own 🤟
