Does anyone have any news if and how the charging problem has been fixed for them? Give my bike the coming week to the dealer and would like to tell him already a solution.

I'm connecting my Garmin Edge to the Trance too. Works perfectly! As already mentioned, you can get: sbattery %, power mode, cadence, speed and power (watts) from the bike. I've shared a logging with all that data for you here:

From the charging-Port on the bike to the pins in the bike connecting the battery is just a "through-connection" - I measured that. So, there should be no difference than charging the battery externally with the charging-adapter. But it is.... battery in the frame it charges mostly up to 70-80%...

I think so. Otherwise, as I understand it, it would not be possible to use the battery at all. + I can charge it outside the frame.

Jep, thanks for your feedback, I've read that too but I'm still stressing my dealer for a solution because I can't accept such a behavior from a €4,100.- product. If it will "self repair" after 10 charges.. OK, but until then the dealer/Giant have to find the cause of this....

Thanks for the feedback. My dealer provided me with a new charger which sadly wasn't the solution. Next step is, that he want's the charger and the battery for further testing...

Then I'll answer myself here, in case someone else finds my findings helpful... Well, today I had all the parts together. Result: The STEPS brake disc unfortunately does NOT work with the Giant. The magnet is a bit further away from the sensor and a lot weaker than the Giant magnet. Sh**... too...
