Has anyone bought or ordered the new KSL "2"? It seems to me that it is really quiet at the "Kenevo SL2 front"... The thread here at EMTB when Rob introduced it seems to be dead, also in our German forums absolute silence.
I´m really excited to follow how this thing is going to sell...
@jcmonty Is this an "american exclusive" replacing or worldwide? My German dealers don´t know anything about this replacement. How did you get aware of this? Thanks!
Here in Germany, online sales platforms are flooded now with KSL 1 bikes. New and used bikes. However, some seem to have not yet realized that there´s a KSL with the new motor out now. One seller offers a KSL S-Works still for 12000 Euros:ROFLMAO:
I think there´s not that much competition. The Transition Relay for example, Focus JAM², Simplon Rapcon PMAX.
Not so many. The market for light Enduro E-MTBs seems to be really small. Specialized are still selling the models from 2021, what might be also an indication that it was not a big...
What was the real reason that took Specialized 4 years to launch the Levo SL2? Was it the frame (I don´t think so)?
Or wasn´t it rather the motor that they needed to get much more quieter, especiallly after the TQ was released?
Remember the first Stumpjumper EVO that came first with an aluminum and short after with the carbon frame (MJ 2019)? It was replaced in 2020 with the present model. I sold my 2019 Stumpjumper EVO in the moment the new model was launched in October 2020.
Some people in the German mountainbike forum are pretty sure that there will be no more Stumpjumper and Stumpjumper EVO in the next generation, but only one bike as a do it all Stumpjumper. Makes sense in my opinion. Like Trek did it with the Fuel EX generation 6. If that becomes reality I think...
I personally don´t think that it will last for three more years. For me this KSL2 is not more than a interim solution. People wanted the KSL with the new motor; Specialized gave it to them.

I´m sure that Specialized is completely aware of their old stocks and the fact that the "old" Kenevo Sl was not a "highseller".
My prediction is that also this Kenevo SL2 will not be sold in high quantities and that Specialized for this reason will keep their stocks on a relatively low level...
For me the much more important point is not that they put this new motor in the KSL. For me the big question is: how long will this modell last until Specialized will launch the real successor of the KSL?
