And I avoid the stuff like the plague. :) Vive la difference; it's what attracted me to Commencal. It's mainly about what happens to junked frames at end of life, plus often marginal weight improvements, and some personal experiences with cracked carbon objects.
So, I'm just about to buy my first e-mtb, a powerful new bike with no bell but lots of whistles. It comes with the wonderful Bosch Performance CX motor system, which when I enquire further turns out to be gen 4. Just posting to point out that there are still (lots) of new (in this case 2024)...
