I was wondering who else had invested in the range extender so that they can keep up with their mates using full-fat bikes, but not use up the battery too quickly?
Should I get new ride mates or buy the extender (aka turn it into a full-fat bike)?
I swapped out the heavy wheels on my rise m20 for dt swiss carbon xmc 1501, which made a massive immediate difference. I'm not the lightest being 6 foot plus and like to cane it, over 15 months later and they still look like new.
Yes fits the downtube fine, but I have the latest 591 and I believe the gripper is bigger than the older one. I do use the Thule aero bars. Its really secure overall, the only issue is getting the bike up there in the first place. I already had the rack and bars, otherwise, I would have just...
It's better than my previous RS Reverbs, plus as previously mentioned a piss of p*ss to service. Just don't wash your bike upsidedown and it will work faultlessly for longer!
I use a Thule Proride 591 on my roof bars for my Rise. I have an SUV so it's a little tricky getting it up there, even though I',m183 cm. IN the end I purchased a pair of portable steps. I'm sure a normal height car wouldn't be an issue.

I'm 183cm and ride the large.
With the steep seat tube, it feels smaller than my last bike even though the reach is a bit more. It's fine going up the steep stuff but still getting used to being closer to the bars the rest of the time.
I swapped the rear tire for DHR 2.4 WT. I now seem to be getting lots more peddle strikes and it seems just a bit wrong in the geo dept. Next ride I will change the rocker switch to increase the rear travel, hopefully that will sort things out a bit
I was thinking the same, dragging this fat boy around the Surrey Hills seems a little pointless. I will be trying something like a 2.6 in the next few month.
I'm 6' and was advised the M but went for the L after a demo day. The L gives me plenty of room as like you I dont like being cramped, but I would not be able to go any bigger as my seat post is already at its lowest setting.
You need to get your leg over one.
I have the on:6 and I'm 105 kg when dry, had no issues with this bike suspension. In fact its the better than my significantly more expensive suspension on my audio canyon spectral. Just need to add a little bit more air!
