You can slide this large thick rubber part back to expose the wiring, I have seen two bikes, my own included where the cable has corroded right through on one of the pins due to moisture ingress.

This was my Saturday afternoon after an hour and half battling through wind and rain at -2 to get up above the cloud base at 3000ft.
The simple fact that I read more problems with the gateway equipped versions than I do the older ones.

Just thought i would pop a fresh status update on here:
Bike is still ridden every weekend and still to date has never failed since that battery firmware update.
My pal Phils is the same and he rides more then me.
Thats 3 full years of trouble free riding in all...
They look decent once covered up.
Ive drilled a 3mm hole in mine for access, as taking the grommet in and out every ride weakened it to the point it eventually started falling out and being lost on rides.
I wonder if you got a later part number? As you can see from the image, mine came with it.
I cant see it being of any value anyway, just adds extra weight, i wouldn't waste my time buying and fitting it.
Might be of value to some folk pal. I don't have wiring dramas anymore, although i do still hate trying to fit the motor back in if i have to drop if for any reason.

The one in the image is the new (to me) shock that hasn't arrived with me yet.
It was setup for a different bike, so will be delivered as per the picture with no other bushings.
