Levo Gen 2 Warranty extension & Firmware Update for all 2019/20 Levo/Kenevo with 2.1 motors

It's brilliant to see a manufacturer step up and extend warranties like this. My 2019 bike is coming up to be a year old soon and unfortunately I haven't put as many miles on as I have liked. I'm now back riding again and I was worried I would hit some issue after the warranty was over. It's...

Levo Gen 2 So how many levos go bang after owners mod or chip motors?

DC electric motor speed is proportional to voltage. So it's true to say that to turn an electric motor faster, you need more volts. That being said, we're talking about a geared system so the output rpm and therefore max speed is more a function of torque and gearing, and torque is proportional...

How much battery do you need on your next emtb?

I want 1500wh. I do a lot of road riding and like covering a lot of ground. Biggest ride I did was 240km. Not sure how practical it is on a mountain bike but I'd love to do big cross country trails.

What kinda wattage we dealing with chaps?

Hmm v. Interesting. The watt bikes are usually very accurate. If that's true then it's a bit of a let down in terms of relying on it. Power meter is no good if it's inaccurate! I couldn't find a way to calibrate. Every power meter I've had has a calibration function.

What kinda wattage we dealing with chaps?

Power meter is a hugely under-rated addition to an e-bike in my opinion. If accurate, it can really help instil confidence in terms of your fitness and help aid weight loss through making good dietary choices. I have a Quarq meter on my road bike and the numbers are pretty damn close! So I think...

Fox 36 Upgrade - 2019 Turbo Levo Carbon Comp

Your explanation makes sense but I wonder if perhaps you underestimate the way in which the levers might be used to create a reactive force which suppresses the vertical acceleration. It is not only vertical acceleration from the riders weight, there is also a rotational force when the front...

    Upgrading brakes

Half right, bigger rotors means more friction as you have more rotor passing through the caliper, however...... Larger rotors don't need as much clamping force to generate the same braking force. Larger rotors have more surface area therefore they dump heat much better than smaller rotors...

    Upgrading brakes

Dragging your brakes is the worst thing you can do, no chance for your pads and discs to cool. It's much better to scrub some speed and then come off the brakes. I'm a big guy and it's the only way I can get down without blowing up my brakes. Good rotors make a difference. Also I find the...

2019 or wait for 2020 levo

Yeah, you can pick up 20% off 2019 Levo's right now which means you can go out and buy a 700wh battery and still be evens compared to buying a 2020 bike. This is what I've just done, will pick up the 700wh at some point because I want two batteries for some big days.

    2019 Turbo levo

I'm not missing the point because I wasn't arguing against regulation. I'm giving my view on why I think the regulation is not nuanced enough and made a suggestion of how technology could be implemented to bring ebikes more in-line with the rules on analog bikes. The same way I think our fixed...

    2019 Turbo levo

In my opinion the limit is bad for a number of reasons. 1. People with no experience can fly along at 25km and are a danger to themselves and everyone else anyway. 2. I can go significantly faster than the limit with leg power. On the single tracks which lead to the trails 35km/h. Imo the...

    700 Wh Battery

I'm not trying to be clever, I'm just poking holes in your little rant. Distance is no more relevent than any other single metric when taken in isolation because as I've just pointed out, range is highly dependent on a number of factors. It only becomes useful as metric when you make...

    2020 Specialized levo/kenevo rumors?

I got a 2019 comp last week. From the spec above it looks like the only thing I'm missing is the 700wh battery. Given that I got 20% off, I could go and buy a 700wh battery and I'll still be quids in.

    700 Wh Battery

Why do people insist on answering range in distance? It's totally meaningless. How much elevation? Weight of rider? What kind of surface? Of course those of us with more than half a brain understand that range is a combination of numerous factors, none of which can be accurately measured and...

    2019 Turbo levo

Specialised only track that information if you use mission control to record your rides. It's obvious because that amount of data would require a lot of compute and storage on an ebike which it just doesn't have. The only data they will capture on the bike is battery cycles and km ridden...
