So canyon sourced and got a new battery designed which is an apparent improvement on the one they claimed was dangerous, and now using that as a marketing strategy to sell the remaining stock of bikes. I cannot believe they didn’t send these out to current customers. It’s an absolute mistake...
So they send us previous owners a ‘new’ battery which is exactly the same as the previous failing one that still cracks and then they put a completely new battery in the leftover stock, pisstake. Especially for those like me that had the 720wh…
720wh battery being delivered today and just had an email from canyon with refund invoice for £987 (I have a CF9). Can’t complain with that but the time it’s taken to sort this isn’t acceptable
Some people on Facebook groups are reporting new batteries are cracking already (900Wh)

I have been told this morning that batteries started shipping last week. I ordered a 720wh battery and I didn't get an email about further compensation. They just said ill receive a shipping confirmation soon
Exactly this, and in an acceptable timeframe… I’m happy I’m getting a fresh battery to be honest. The bike is great I’ve had 0 issues even with current battery. Yes we were all disappointed but realistically this is the best outcome unless you want to wait a year
