Rimpact have been okay for me. I've got a few niggles with them namely the valves are ? after a little while the rubber seal that sits inside the rim began to misshape and wouldn't hold more than 20psi which doesn't sound too bad but everytime you have a big hit or land a jump the tire pressure...
No idea if it would fit that bike and no you wouldn't have to change the fork.
It's beneficial to have a high end fork with high and low speed settings to match the shock for better balancing / fine tuning but I don't have that at the moment.
Haven't done it yet ? my missus was on holiday when I first got them and had her hairdryer with her. So I couldn't get the old ones off ?.
I may get chance to do it this week if the weather stays dry
230!!! Lol 230 x 65. The shop where I got the coil leisure lakes mounted it for me. They used the bottom bushings out of my original shock it seems and put new ones in the top because they had them lying around.
They also price matched Silverfish which had 20% off so I got a really good deal.
Can't say I've ever had issues cleaning mine. I remove the battery and clean that with a wet wipe indoors, the rest of the bike I clean like any other bike with muc off brushes and a hose.
I've got wd40 contact cleaner but to be honest I've only ever used it once
This was my point 100% but I've discovered that there will always be a vocal minority that find something to shout about.
At the end of the day in my book, if you ride to test yourself up the climbs and for fitness over enjoyment enjoy your mtb, if you want to ride longer, further and have fun...
Is the outer cable twisted in the seat tube? I found that mine went incredibly tight when it coiled in the seat tube. I simply wound the outer cable the opposite direction and that gave me a bit more slack to reconnect to the seat post
A video from our 1st visit to BPW last weekend. What a place!!! I was blown away by the sheer number of cool trails. Can't wait to get back and try some other trails.
Any must do's for next time?
