I swapped out the 36 on mine with the 170mm Zeb from my v5 SX and it rides so much more planted and direct. I ride very rocky raw trails though so that’s what suits me area best. Would love to try a 170mm Podium or 38 then can actually ride the analog again 😆
How much elevation? Had mine since April also and have put on a lot of KMs. This is the best I’ve done but had it in Auto mode the whole time. Only ever use that and turbo really
Also what headset are you using? Keen to take the 170mm Zeb off my v5 SX too and see how that goes. Different...
Yeah it would void warranty, but I reckon it could be done. Similar to running a Cascade link which I had on my older AM29. They generally don’t like you messing around with different stroke shocks or aftermarket linkages.
The Shocks eye to eye on both bikes are the same so in theory a 65mm stroke shock will fit, as it does on the regular v5 SX. Would need to check clearance under full compression.
Not sure about the cable. Would be a standard part id assume
Yep feels super familiar as the geo is almost the same. Just heavy and requires a lot more body language to move around. Makes my regular SX feel light which is great! Keen to put a 170mm fork on it though and may even experiment with a 65mm stoke shock to make it feel even more similar.
I have the regular SX too and yes it’s difficult to find a good grip if you have to lift it. They’re both very similar which was part of the appeal to me
Here’s mine. Size medium with Double Down tyres, HT pedals, AXS dropper, Hayes Dominions, Deity stem, OneUp carbon bar and Deity grips the changes I’ve made. She’s a hefty girl but rides well!
No. Are you sure NZ did? This release on the 9th of April is the first time any Commencal has been offered with an Avinox motor. Unless the M1s you saw were potentially test mules?
I can confirm at least in Australia that the bikes are available on the 9th for those that had the first pre-orders in. Any of the bikes on the website now that state May/June etc are all the next batch. I can also confirm the Meta's will have the M2S
They said the battery tech was better - again couldn't give any real info. But yeah it looks a lot slimmer than a bike with an 800wh. Not sure about the 600s.
Can't reveal sources but may or may not have just seen one in the flesh with a M2 motor (with 150nm) and 700wh battery. I'm sworn to secrecy though so that's all I can say!
