Hey there - TQ team connecting

I realise you won't be able to share here but I do look forward to the future release of an 85-90Nm TQ motor. Such a clever design.

Unanswered Do I need to change tyre?

I swap out Minion DHR2s when the side knobs begin to undercut. The edges on the knobs on your tyre are still relatively square which is what gives you traction. I'd say there's a good bit of life left in your current tyre but I don't ride in really muddy conditions.

Rail (625Wh) Zeb ultimate clearance with knock block removed

I can confirm that there is plenty of clearance on a carbon L.

Unanswered What 27.5 2.6-2.8” mixed condition, all weather front and rear tyres?

Excellent choice. Running this setup myself. 2.5 EXO+ Assegai MaxxGrip front, 2.6 EXO+ DHR2 MaxxTerra rear with Cush Core. Both in 29"

Help Deciding between Haibike ALLMTN 5 and Trek Rail 7

I own a Rail and have ridden the Haibike before. I found the front end on the Haibike is low which made it feel like I was going to go over the bars riding down steep tech terrain. Also the seat tube length on the Haibike is long preventing fitting a decent length dropper or getting the seat low...

New rear tire: Specialized Eliminator Grid Gravity T7/T9

The small tread blocks on the Specialized tyres wear quickly in my experience but this does give them good mud clearance capability (probably not too much of a concern in your terrain). Maxxis DHR2 with a Double Down casing would give similar robustness and might last a little longer. I heard...

    Unanswered Footware

Shimano AM901 and 902 (presumably 903 too) are a wide fit last in my experience though I do go up one size (44 to 45) over what I normally use.

    A Question regarding range...

The elevation gain and rider weight are the main factors in e-bike range in my experience. On my 625Wh Rail I can get about 1,500m of vert on one battery (5 x up the shuttle hill at Rotorua) if I'm using mostly Tour(+)/EMTB Lite and I'm 75kg fully kitted up to ride. I'd imagine with the 750Wh...

Drivetrain longevity. What are you getting

12 speed GX on my Rail and got 2,000 km on first chain and cassette mainly riding dry conditions. On my second GX cassette and running two GX chains this time and swapping every 500km and have just clocked over another 2,000 km and it still shifts like a dream. When these eventually wear out...

    Fed up with tubeless.

I find it is best to take the bike for a short ride (15-20 minutes round the neighbourhood will do) after first setting wheels up tubeless as that helps the sealant find all the little gaps in the tyre to seal. After a couple of good off road rides with the tyre flexing more they will usually...

    New Bosch Display options coming?

As you say, something is clearly in the works. For my money a display like the new Specialized system matched with the minimalism of the new Giant controller would be great. The Bosch controllers are just too bulky and vulnerable in a crash.
