I'm pretty sure the 80% thing is having the app open when the big is charging and pressing the left or right buttons on the bike screen. That changes the charge mode but also upsets the app.
At this point I just never use the app.
Personally I don't use the feature but yeah just hold the gear change lever down to turn it on and off.
I've never used the app since I first got the bike. It kept switching to battery saver 80% charge. No issues since I stopped using the app. It's a good bit worse than the likes of Specialized...
I've got two older Specialized bikes. I only keep the full fat for when my mate visits. I've been on the SL once since getting the Haibike, in order to run the battery down for winter. But nah never going back. I'll probably sell the SL. I do prefer the orange to pink though.
Yeah that's my diagnosis plan. Once the weather improves I'll be out almost every day, at which point it doesn't really matter. But it is annoying me tbh.
I went out a week last Saturday and came back on 79%. Untouched until yesterday and I was at 45%. Which is the worst drain I've seen. I'm going to try the charge to store option at some point and see if that is the same.
My only grumble with the CF 11 is the passive battery drain. Which with the cold days is even worse so there is some kind of power draw occurring even with the bike off. But nobody else online seems to be complaining so it might be my bike rather than the model.
And I too bought a rubber strap...
