We had a battery failure recently on a Vado (same battery as Levo ?): it started shutting off motor power while showing 50%, then after a couple times of that it stopped providing power to the motor at all. A new battery fixed it.
The battery is 4 years old with about 6500 miles on it so we...
Vocaroo only made some crunching noises like gravel, no whistling that I could hear. Ours was definitely the motor. We wanted to know the results but the deal was "replace and send back to Specialized, do not open the motor" so we never got any further information.
We had one like that (a Vado with 6000 miles) it sounded like cicadas. It got louder but never had any problems running. Our LBS contacted Specialized, they gave us a good deal on a replacement motor even though ours was well out of warranty.
We also bought four Specialized e-bikes from the...
I changed my SL from 29 to 27.5 not long after getting it. 29 felt too high and slow steering, 27.5 feels much better. I do not ride anything that might be considered technical so have not had any trouble with pedal strikes. The dealer reset the wheel diameter as I was topping out at about...
This is why I do my own work as much as possible. The shop may have more experience but I care about my bike more and will take as much time as needed to get it right. Anyway, glad you got it sorted out. :)
I am having trouble understanding why the chain length would be different. The chain goes from the chainwheel to the cassette, the distance between those should not change no matter what size wheel we install?
I changed my Levo SL to 27.5" not long after I got it, 2800 miles later I am still happy with the result. Here are the wheels I bought:
Spank Oozy 350 Boost 27.5" Wheelset
Black, 32H, 15X110mm, 12X148mm, Shimano HG
I swapped the cassette (later changed it to 11-34), brake rotors (and rear...
One more: Specialized specifies the Levo motor as 250 W nominal (continuous), probably for several reasons. One may be to meet different European regulations for maximum continuous power; one may be because the motor housing can only shed that much heat in continuous running. I have not see...
I ride with two 2019 Vados (class 3) that have over 6000 miles, no belt problems. These have been ridden primarily on dirt/sand/gravel, in heavy rain and puddles, washed frequently.
One recently developed a noise like cicadas, the LBS got Specialized to replace the motor at a good price.
Out...
