Resurrecting this thread as I'm keen to replace my 27.5 x 2.8 Butcher Grids that came with my 2018 Turbo Levo. I've always had them tubeless and would do same with new tyres. I've long suspected that better tyres exist, but have just gone out and used what came with the bike. I do a real mix of...
I'd like to express my thanks to advice received. I went for 90 min ride on Saturday and the seat post issue is now fixed courtesy of a new, longer inner cable. I made it about 8mm longer.
I've no idea why this issue arose, it defies logic, disconnection & reconnection causing shrinkage...
Reseating cable didn't work. I've fitted a new inner cable & made it longer, intention is to use screw adjuster to fine tune which hadn't been possible before. Will test at the weekend.
Thanks for advice. Barrel adjuster at lever was at shortest setting. Disassembled and cable has been cut off with no spare at brass end fitting. Only thing I can think of is that cable outer wasn't seated properly in metal recess on post assembly. Will give it another test ride and see if it's...
My IRcc command post regularly dropped pressure from new. Faced with 2-3 week delay & £70 charge from Specialized, I bit the bullet and bought a full service kit to replace all seals and internals. The seat now holds pressure for weeks instead of days. The Specialized workshop video was superb...
Thanks kcarbon, concur your thoughts about dangers of lubrication without information about what to use, or if anything should be used at all. Had a frustrating 25 mile ride to LBS & back yesterday. Specialized website was down, so they were unable to update the battery firmware.... then due to...
Thanks Tori. At this stage, I think I want to establish if it really is drive belt causing the squeal, if so, then is this a warranty matter. I think it should be, the bike has far less than 500km and mostly ridden in dry conditions. I don't have the specialist crank puller tool & not sure what...
Have been researching the belt drive as possible cause, watched this video about removing motor, to discover that motor is a sealed unit. Presumably if this is the source of the squeal, then this ought to be covered under warranty. Bike was new early Feb 18. Am having firmware updated tomorrow...
Thanks for this possible cause, mine is 2018, apologies for not mentioning in original post. Is this relatively easy to check for? Presume I'll have to get fairings off near motor to investigate. Recommendations for the best lubricant appreciated.
My Turbo Levo has developed a high pitched squeal from the transmission. It's not loud and sometimes goes away after a few miles, but does recur, only get it when pedalling, not freewheeling, it's not linked to gear I'm in. I've cleaned & lubricated chain, jockey wheels and everything looks...
I also paid the purple premium Rob...! I'll do some reading to see what others recommend. It's going very well, but always good to know more about the technology.
Just seen & joined this forum. Having decided to move to hilly Devon from the very flat New Forest, opted to buy a Levo to help me get around. Keen to learn about set-up etc.
