I echo a lot on this thread (48 with a bad back) just collected my new eST900 Rockrider - Hardtail and will defo be getting a suspension seat post.
I want to take it when I take the caravan away for the weekend so weight is an issue for me as well so the hardtail is my compromise (price was a...
Brother looked at putting in a battery bank recently for the farm as his solar is mostly exported and he get so little for it.
The guy asked him what he wanted it for and was straight to the point - If your doing it to be green then great lets get it done. BUT if for money its not viable yet...
Had done the comber Greenway from Comber side all way to Connswater on a normal MTB with the family, should be a whole lot easier now. Also Kilbroney(Rostrevor) but its proper downhill. Lots of routes in Mourn Mountains as well.
I have a rear tow ball 3 bike carrier that works well BUT wont...
What a great and informative thread. I booked marked at lest 3 posts.
Just collected my eST900 today. Its a Med ( I am 5ft 8" and debated the L but after several test rides round store settled on the Med) Seems I am very fortunate as Belfast store has both sizes in stock. I got the last M but...
Which Direction and where are the trails you use? I know about the one at the Mary Peters track and also Castlewellan but thats about it.
I am near Ballygowan & Saintfield.
I am thinking seriously about a Hard tail e MTB budget up to 2k max.
Looking about on line I was considering the decathlon Rockrider e520. Went to see it and think I would pay the extra for the eST900. its £2k with an option to upgrade tires to abetter off road pattern & add tubless with repair...
I have watched a few items on this of late. Both Ford and GM are pinning their hopes on changing battery tech to a slightly older tech that will less Energy density due to many factors like above and that its more temperature stable allows it to be packed in closer therefore negating the density...
Also tried out the different size frames.
I am 5ft8" but like a larger frame normally. For me I found the large was my best fit. XL was a bit of a stretch and med meant I did not have as good control at lower speeds as with the L frame.
I was not aware that this could be done and can see that it would be a massive advantage to be able to adjust. The controller on a 520 is same as the older 900, but the current 900 is a newer colour display with a different position for the buttons (fall easier to your thumb) and is a higher...
