Your LBS cleared error 504? Mine lbs said that he thinks he cannot clear error. Even tho they have bosch diagnostics..

I`ve had Badassbox 4 in my gen 4 bosch for over 1000kms. Today it went to limb mode with 504 error.

Yep i recommend to get a spider tool and crank puller so you can check it once in a while. chainrings, if you do commuting or something else than going trails too, i recommend 36t chainring. i dont know about whytes original chainring size but my cube had 34t. I have spare 38t too. 36t feels...

Yes i experienced it too. 30ish newtons are not much for that. i dont understand why there is left handed threading because it tries loosen itself when pedaling.. LBS also told that you dont want to over tighten that nut because it may break speed sensors inside the motor

lockring needs to be tighten properly. Mine just came loose today. chainring was changed 3weeks ago. gotta get angry call to local workshop on monday that they need to re tighten lockring and maybe use loctite or something. Need to get tools to myself so there is no need to go always to workshop..

I ended up to order new 36t chainring and gave it to my local bike shop do change it when i took my cube to first maintenance, cost 25€.

Yep that thing have many names. Spider tool, lockring tool and castle nut tool. Different Bosch motors have different diameter in the nut. That one fits gen 3 motors. not sure about gen 4, maybe!
