    Brake hum/honk while light braking?

I had a similar sound after a few hundred miles and did the following which resolved it. Wear latex gloves this whole process to avoid touching the rotor and pad surfaces. Clean the rotor very thoroughly with Brakleen. If that's not easy to get locally, use 99% isopropyl alcohol. Wipe until...

    Body armour. Again!

What a weird thread. Of course pads help minimize injury when crashing. We should wear appropriate protection depending on the riding we are doing. Of course there are techniques to minimize injury when crashing and they are worth learning. Youtube has plenty of videos on how to crash more...

Cool, do have any impressions or comments about it? Seems like a cool idea at a decent price.

Question about maintenance stands for heavy e-bikes

Looks pretty much perfect, I especially like that you can use a drill to lift/lower. www.amazon.com/cyclists-Bike-Repair-Stand-110lbs/dp/B0G3N4MXSK

    Mondraker Zendit Avinox

I've been riding the Ampd for a few months now and couldn't be happier. It fits the PNW style trails near me perfectly and if I can use one word to describe it, it would be "fun". I feel like a kid when I ride it. The recent loam wolf shootout, all said the Ampd is the only bike out of 16...

How are you lot washing your bikes without contaminating your pads and rotors?

About once a week, I pop mine on an Enduro Engineering stand and use the shower setting on the garden hose. Then take it off the stand, bounce it a few times, use a microfiber to wipe off any visible water, ride it up and down the driveway a few times using the brakes and running through the...

    Pic of the Day

My son bought us lift tickets for Father's Day yesterday. Following our bikes up the lift. Got to the top and all the fun flowy Blues that we wanted to ride were closed for a race! Only several miles of Blacks and Double Blacks to get back down. A bit more adventure than we wanted and my...

Levo Gen 4 Opinions Wanted - S-Works Levo 4 Frame buildup versus Levo 4 Expert complete bike

Is just buying the S-Works outright an option? My son did this and between the recent huge price cut and our LBS willingness to discount further, there was no way he could have built it to the same level at the price he paid.

Help me decide: Forbidden Druid E vs. Orbea Wild

Druid seems to be a great all-around bike. Don't underestimate the value of buying from your LBS especially if any issues pop up. Support them and they will support you.

    Trail Animals

Stepped out to hit a local trail system and saw this little guy trying to get up on my deck, probably smelled the dog's food dish. Glad his momma wasn't about.

Levo Gen 4 Levo 4 Initial Impressions= From Analog--> to SL--> to Full Power

My son rides an S-works Levo 4 and I ride a Pivot Amp'd. Are they different? Yes. Are they both great fun to ride? Also yes. We swap all the time and they are both amazing and so much fun. IMO we tend to overthink the details and start cork-sniffing. These are all GREAT bikes. Ignore the...

Other Specialized Rumours Thread (What's next?!)

I get the idea at least on paper. It's a Levo 4 with 2 bike racks attached for an extra $500. Bike camping is a (very fun) thing, and this is a great setup for that. Much better to have bespoke racks and mounts instead of rattly generic one-size-fits-all stuff. A bike like this implies...
