Any Electrical Engineers, 2 600w Batteries Run Together?

I don't think you need an electrical engineer, I have done it many times with my RC planes. But I always use identical packs from the same manufacturer, same discharge rate. I do parallel for extra capacity, some planes I have a tight compartment and I have to do to smaller ones in series that...

Specialized Turbo Levo with Cascade Long Travel Link

Yes. I got the proper longer EXT coilover 475 lb rate, I’m 175 lbs they said it is a close fit on an S2. First I used playdough to check clearance then blue tape no rubbing on the frame. It definitely keeps, the rear planted on downhill sections with lots of tiny rocks. I don’t ride that hard...

Specialized Turbo Levo with Cascade Long Travel Link

I’m happy with the Cascade setup. Their parts are very high quality, precision fit. I’ve heard Ohlins are about the same quality as the EXT coilover I got and a little less money and easier to adjust.

    Maven Bronze on/off feel

I pulled the caliper once pushed the pistons in then reinstall it w the original pads that helped a bit with the on/off. I didn’t have the correct Allen wrench to remove the pads, no c-clip from the factory either. Put in the Galfer pads, like them a lot, very progressive.

    Maven Bronze on/off feel

I have Galfer red pads on order. I know many say purple emtb specific pads but the Maven calipers and pads are huge and I am light, 170 lbs so I went with red. They should be here soon.

    Maven Bronze on/off feel

The Maven brakes have tons of stopping force but are difficult to modulate. The front brake particularly I have a tough time trying to engage smoothly. I read some online reviews with similar remarks. What pads are others using? What are your impressions?

    Mahle makes nice stuff

Mahle is a very well respected name in automotive and motorsports. This is a Gen I Chevy, was in my Camaro in college, now on a stand as a 388 ci stroker, 6" rods and Mahle pistions. The machine work is excellent. Mahle supplies Porsche with original and motorsport pistons. I have a feeling the...

Article The Story Behind the Unno Mith

It’s a work of art. I have done some carbon cloth repairs on my cf model airplanes and getting a perfect exposed weave is very difficult, if you move the cloth a half mm after the glue starts to set it’s ruined cosmetically. It would be interesting to see strength tests on these CF frames. I...

Do any of you motor experts want to weigh in on this new MGM Chinese motor?

I have to agree. I sell industrial equipment. We use mag drive pumps for some chemical and sea water applications, they are always low pressure pumps because of that reason, rarely more than 20 psi output if that. I wouldn't buy a mag drive bike motor.

Bosch CX Gets 750W Power Boost

I built race motors and did some pro motorsports competition in my past. Torque is twisting force, horsepower is work done. Torque X RPM/5252= horsepower. Anytime you see a car magazine with a torque and HP graph and the two are not equal at 5252 RPM their graph is BS. Amazing how many...

Bosch CX Gets 750W Power Boost

No but a similar dynamic they just came out with the gen 4 Levo with a similar increase in power, was riding with someone last week with the new gen 4 and he easily pulled away. My point it’s nice to have some reserve power to be able to u weight the front wheel when going up hill regardless of...
