A news article last year on the Cube e-bike product launch event was dated 11th August 2019. The actual event must have been on this date or before. I guess therefore we are very close to knowing details of the 2020 bikes

Funny enough the German EMTB magazine which came out in the news stands on 6th August has 4 pages dedicated to the new 2020 Cubes. The cover photo in the above link is one of the new Cubes.
Im not allowed to publish it here.
But you would think Cubes announcements would therefore be very close to this date for them to allow the magazine to publish it.

I think the noise is totally personal. Is it loud? Is it high?
different ears will have a different experience.
Until i demo/test i will not have a clue.
I sure hope it is acceptable to me because they might have less reliability issues than some others who need down time. I hate down time. No car, i pedal often twice daily and for the price they ask they should sell Ebikes that can be used within reason.
Yesterday i tried an other brand and was not impressed.
Hopefully we will be offered some good options.
Happy trails.

What bike do you currently have?

Also a bit odd according to that website is the entry level hardtail (acid one 2020) seems to have the new Gen 4 motor but the more expensive reaction hybrid pro seems to still have the old motor. I’m puzzled.

Also with the 2020 Cube EMTBs there seems to be slight shift away from Shimano towards SRAM components like shifters etc. Obviously not in all models but i can definitely see a pattern here.

Interesting. Wonder if the changes are for better performance / reliability or reduced costs

What made you decide to go from 3.0 to 2.8?
This is my first + bike. I was curious, wanted to try different tires. I put and ad and my 3.0 was traded for a Rekon 2.8 Luckily i love that tire, fast with enough grip for where i ride. Also to avoid pedal strikes i switched from 175 to 165 mm arms and love that too.

I have 3,434 kms on my Ebike with Magura, i like them. Soon i will be on my second set of pads.
Whaaaaat!! I have changed mine about 5 times with 4500 km. Guess I do more steep downhills. Or weigh a lot more than you

I’ve only trialled a reaction hybrid pro with 2.6 tyres. Was hoping to buy something similar next year but Cube seem to be putting slightly smaller 2.35 on most for their 2020 hardtails. I thought the trend in bike tyres was going up in size, not down so I find this quite strange

Well i know for myself i do like the simplicity and light weight of HT. Last year i was on 29 with tiny rims, 2.3 tires and i prefer this year 2.8/3.0x27.5 on 40 mm. If i go to 29 it would be 30 mm 2.6 but everyone has to try and decide. I started enjoying expert trails and i appreciate the traction i get. Look until you find what works for you.
