2027 Orbea Wild LT Released - Avinox Powered

From Pink Bike:
The weight of the 2027 Orbea Wild equipped with the Avinox M2S motor typically ranges from 46.3 lbs to 53.9 lbs (21.0 kg to 24.5 kg), depending on the frame material (carbon vs. alloy) and the battery capacity chosen
Yeah, thats vague af. I'd like an exact weight for an exact spec than i could calculate from there.

Not that hard to calculate:
M-LTD with Carbon Rims and 600wh: 21kg

H-20 with 800wh: 24kg

Everything else is just doing some research and a calculator or Excelsheet

Are there already Orbea Wild owners , in Europe, who have actually changed the geo/ location to another location by using vpn to support 45km/h, so if it’s still possible to adapt with the latest firmware? If not possible, I’ll probably will buy something else if this will be the case for all new avinox users?

I am curious too,
Waiting mine in south of France 😊

I’m told the forum owner prefers that topic in the de-restriction section of the forum he created specifically for that.

Now people have them to hand, can anyone measure the reach on their medium or large?

My Large size M20 with crankbrothers mallet DH pedals and bottle, 23,2 kgs.

Tire casing, battery size?

Are you saying with the bottle holder? Or do you mean an actual full water bottle.

Either, way this is about what I expected.

Congrats on the dope bike!

I've ordered a Karve EVO RSX and delivery is 16th July, so i would be really interested to hear what the Orbea is like as it was a bike I was considering but I wasn't sure when it would be released or delivery dates
Have you spoke to your shop again for an update?

My shop in Scotland is still August. I’ve 2 friends that ordered theirs from Monster and they’ve been advised September as an estimated delivery time.

So its a remapped orbea using a profile to reduce the power but you can remap with a custom profile it to make it full power?

i have the bike already. you can configure up to 5 additional custom profiles, each with full power if you want. only the preconfigured RS profiles can only be adjusted up to 750W max.
But probably no possibility to change the speed limits…

It is my understanding there is no Class 3, 28 mph option on the new Wild LT, can you confirm this?

I don't know... i'm in EU with 25km/h limit and i have no need to change it.
EU has a speed limit of 25 kmh while riding on paved streets, pretty sure that is for trails, not streets commuting to trails or moto trails, but I don’t live there so maybe I am wrong. Sounds like you are just lazy and don’t want to get to know your bike or share with others.

EU has a speed limit of 25km/h in any public place.

If your bike can go above this limit it needs a licence plate and insurance.

Tbf you don’t often go above 25km/h climbing with a bike. And going downhill there’s no speed limit haha

Why are people crying about a lack of Class 3?

Surely you can just VPN like 99% of everyone else* with an Avinox powered bike?

*assumption based purely on all the Strava times on my local trails... no one else is doing 19mph up hill :D

Most of the strava times round here are held by neds on Surrons

Neds on Surrons and Strava seems like an odd combo!

Surprised they'd want to record their illegal activities but I guess it show how few fucks they give these days.

So that I understand, are you saying there is nowhere in the EU that a bicycle can be ridden on roads or motorcycle trails at a speed above 25 kmh and requires a license plate and registration to do so?

I don't mind the speed limit for trail riding. As a matter of fact, I placed a deposit on a Wild LT knowing I probably wouldn’t get the 28 mph class 3 option on the Wild vs. other Avinox bikes. The way the bike rides is much more important to me than going 28 mph. I currently own a 2024 Wild and know this new LT will be an incredible bike, regardless of any motor restrictions.

With that said, I went for a ride on my Gen 4 Bosch Wild yesterday and made sure to take note of how often I was trying to pedal above cutoff speed. I found that on the 1 mile of tarmac to my trail head and most of the fire roads I used to access between the trails, the higher cutoff speed would have been a great feature, especially when I have the added power of the Avinox motor.

I am not alone in my curiosity of whether or not the LT will have 28 mph capabilities. Seems like it would take a current owner, with bike in hand, a few minutes to verity this information for all of us waiting for the info. Some people just can’t be bothered I guess.

The eapc (electric assist pedal cycle) laws say that an ebike motor must stop providing any assistance when the bike is travelling over 25kph, if it doesnt do this then it's classed as a motor cycle and needs insurance, license, regular safety checks, proper protective gear etc and can only be ridden where motorcycles are allowed to ride.

The ebike itself can travel over 25kph,but the motor can't provide any assist
