I love this bike and everything this company stands for. I would absolutely have one of these tomorrow if they were available in the US. Unfortunately they have no plans of making them available in the US due to the price of insurance.

I'm surprised that they are not available in US , The Rider Firm have an office in Boulder . I just got a Cairn gravel Ebike from them in UK when they phoned me it comes up as a Colorado number and guy said they have office there strange. Cairn Cycles is part of the rider firm as well. What do they sell over there I wonder.

I have bought 3 sets of Hunt wheels from the Rider Firm in Colorado. They even sell the non ebike Privateer bikes from there but for some reason the ebikes are more difficult.

I had never heard of Privateer till I bought my Cairn and was looking at stuff about the rider firm. When I first wanted a ebike I tried for a Nicolai Ebox as I have had a couple of their frames. It was the same issues there the main UK dealer couldn't get them back then . I could have imported one myself from Germany but too expensive and if it went faulty????.

I had issue with Fazua battery from the start , got a new one no sweat . I dealt with a guy called Mark he was spot on. So hopefully it's all OK now. They have a 60 day return guarantee on the Cairn I bought so I suppose they have to be on the ball but impressed so far.

I live under an hour away. Very nice company to deal with, always had superb service. When I trashed a rear wheel they not only replaced the rim but also replaced the bearings, all FOC. To be honest it was fair wear and tear and I thought I should pay something but they refused!
