The idea that anyone would want to watch videos to hear the sound of 4 steel pawls opening and closing on a steel ratchet ring.

but do whatever makes you happy.

I think what makes Gary the happiest is shitting on other peoples happiness or thoughts/opinions

I found his posts were getting me down, so i actually ignored him. So all his posts are there but i have to click a button to reveal them, and he cant see any of my posts :)

Something more relevant to the thread, i am in the process of upgrading my hubs.
I've got DT Swiss H1900 E-MTB specific wheels with 370 hybrid hub (3-pawl).
I recently pre-ordered the new DT Swiss 'Ratchet LN' upgrade kit (specifically, Ratchet LN - Steel Hybrid HG). So basically im converting the hub to a 350. It comes with an ebike specific reinforced ratchet (24t), so my degrees of engagement will be going from 20 to 15. It's also going to sound much nicer :D and always have proper engagement instead of sometimes maybe 2/3 pawls engaging if you pedal at just the wrong time.

I'm going with the hyperglide freehub because i'll be pairing it with the new shimano linkglide drivetrain. Im really looking forward to the combination of the ratchet with the linkglide smooth shifting. I think its going to transform the feel of the bike in a large way.

If its a similar noise to my Industry Nine hub, you'll be packing them with grease as soon as possible! Tha'ts what I did.. embarrassingly loud.
Don't pack a hope hub's rachet/pawls with grease. Their springs fail easily enough with just a light grease in there. ;)

Maybe that's a blessing. The grease recommended by i9 I swear was bulls spunk. It must have been, the price I paid and the size of pot that turned up ?

Definitely mate. Will make a huge difference on these eBikes I think. So many benefits, I really only got it for the noise lol everything else will be a plus

I've spoke to you before on here and it seems like nothing makes you happy.

At first I thought you'd been smoking crack, by the way you were talking and replying to yourself. Then I realized you were having a conversation with someone I set to "ignore," so I don't see that part of the conversation. You might want to make a similar change to your own forum settings. It will feel like washing the sand out of your shorts after a swim at the beach.

I'd recommend that you use Dumond freehub oil instead of grease. In cold weather grease (particularly a lot of grease) could cause issues with the pawls engaging.

I use this Dumonde grease....

recommended for i9 1/1 hubs which I have, especially if wanting to dampen down the swarm of bees sound. It's extremely light.

Kleenex at the ready bro

Don't say I'm not good to ya
You're on about me having 'no life' but this has been on your mind for 12 hours now. Did you manage to get out last night or was you crying yourself to sleep or somat? Lol

I might join the other two on this post who've blocked your arse ? you seem to make a nice impression around here mate. Probably because you're never off it - go outside smell the flowers and run with the butterflies ? you sausage.

I didn't say you had no life @MrMarzocchi. I simply found it amusing that you wanted to listen to a video of a hub freewheeling when you've already gone out and bought said hub.

I'd love nothing more than to be outside riding just now but I'm injured ATM and can't walk or ride a bike.
I have been using and building wheels with Hope hubs on various bikes for over 25 years now but still have absolutely no idea why anyone gets excited over the noise their freehubs make.
I did say "whatever makes you happy". Seems very difficult to make you happy though.
The Hope freehub I selflessly hobbled over to record footage of to cheer you up just happens to be fitted to an Enduro bike hung on the wall in the room I was resting up in. I haven't lost any sleep despite the excitement of looking forward to filming it for you. but thank you for your concern.
