YT battery issues ?

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced problems with the YT battery. My bike was just 3 days old when it developed a problem and wouldn’t turn on. Tried a friends battery and the bike works fine but YT are not willing to simply swap out the battery without checking the whole system.
Just keen to know if many people have experienced problems with the YT battery. A friend of mine has a local bike shop and he advised me not to buy a YT because of the battery. I didn’t listen and now I’m beginning to think I should have. I also know that there are a lot of people haven’t had any problems. Am I unlucky or is this something more people should be aware off?

As I mentioned in my warranty thread I had a battery die after a year. What I did not mention was the bike had to go back to Germany in the 1st week I owned it with a battery fault. When it got to Germany they could not reproduce the fault even though it had been verified by the local Shimano agent.
