Hi guys I have the Shimano BR-M520 brakes on my new Jam2 but I need to buy some sintered pads for them as the normal ones aren't very good but I can't find any matching the BR-M420 calipers so can I use anything in that 5 series as I just don't know what to buy?

Thanks

Are these the deore finned pads?

Crikey I have no idea they are the brakes that came as standard on my new Jam2 and they fadie and I just don't feel good about them, it says they are "Shimano BR-M520, 200 mm / 200 mm"

I have seen pads on chainreaction that are in the 5 series such as M525 etc but not M520 I wondered if I can use any from the 5 series!

I’ve just done the British thing and changed mine out for Hope E4, basic shimino were ok but a bit scary on big downhills.

I've just fitted 520 4-pots to replace the 615 2-pots and they are a revelation in comparison; more power than I need and no fade on the stock pads so far. I will be fitting sintered eventually though as I liked what they did to the feel of my 2-pots.

Thanks for that I will take a pad out and check :)

The M520 uses the same pads as the older model Saint/Zee pads, the D01S if you want organic, D02S if you want sintered.

So any non-finned pads that are compatible with the Saint BR-M820, BR-M810, or Zee BR-M620 are compatible with the Deore BR-MT520
