New Whyte E-150 RS soon to arrive and one of the items on my list after the obligatory cable re-route is to increase travel to 160 or 170mm. What do I need in order to perform the modification and are there any good how-to's out there to follow? Thanks

Its fairly straightforward, but personally I would see if the shop can do it for you as you need to be careful not to scratch/damage anything or mislay seals etc if you are not 100% confident or dont have the tools - essentially you are putting in a longer airshaft - as to which one I ma not sure as you may want to update some of the other internals to latest spec at the same time, e.g they have just release an updated debonair spring

Video below is for a pike, but gives you an idea of the process

All you need to do is swap out the air spring to either 160 or 170mm. I think its around $40USD for the air spring. Or if you really feel squirrely, you can upgrade to an actual coil like the PUSH ACS3 to bump up the travel as well. Just as easy to install but once you go that route its not recommended to go back to air.
