Washing a bike with an internal Bosch PowerTube

Does anyone know if there's any specific advice relating to this setup? I have a Trek Powerfly LT and the generic advice from Bosch is to remove the battery before washing, although I'm not certain that with an internally mounted battery this is definitely the best way? (Especially considering a significant part of the downtube that needs washing comes away with the battery).

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

I think I read that cube at least suggest keeping it on to wash it, which is what I do, just don't spray high pressure where it meets the frame, just get it wet and scrub the muck off with a brush, I've never had any issues
