Upgrade to a 12 speed 10-50 cassette from a 10-42 on my 2020 turbo Levo

I have a specialized 2020 turbo lev. I’m thinking about upgrading to a 12 speed 10-50 in the rear cassette. It’s super steep in sections here in Colorado and I know it will assist in increasing battery range. My friend has an older 500 watt specialized and keeps the same (or close) battery range due to his upgrade on the 10-50 cassette as he spins faster. Any thoughts Appreciated

I like it not only for an easier gear but you can run a couple teeth extra on your chainring for better top end and still have an easier gear. Ive always run super ez gears to climb the bigger steeper vert around here but i sacrificed to the top end speed. That top end comes in handy hitting jumps. 10-50 can give both

I changed my chainring to a 30 tooth from the stock 32 for the same reason. Works great.
