Hey guys, so my headset felt little rough the weekend so decided to strip it and give it clean. so on a nearly 4k bike they're still using caged bearings?! the bearings are knakered after 3months of owning the bike. I spoke to the bike shop who said just buy a better headset with sealed bearings. which i plan to do but they cant get any in for a week then ive got to wait for a workshop slot...

Does anyone know where i can get hold of the replacement caged bearings in the mean time?

26 bearings
outer 52mm
inner 50mm

Cheers!

Yes I've been told on this forum that caged bearings are low end and cheap. Funny how they have been on many high end motorcycles....
I do have to regrease mine regularly to keep the creaks out but that's bike ownership.

So please can you confirm which replacement caged bearings you bought and also which sealed ones. If you can provide the specific link for each purchase that would be appreciated. Thanks.

I understand the caged ones are TH-073E ACB 1.5 for the bottom bracket.
