Spectral ON 7.0 vs 8.0 ?

hey all

I'd appreciate any POVs on whether the 8.0 build kit is worth investing over the 7.0.

It's been a few years since I bought a bike and I'm well out of the loop on parts. Usage is go anywhere trail riding tho I'm not into big jumps or scary black runs.

The DT H1700 wheelset on the 8.0 is very nice. But I like Fox 36 fork and XT drivetrain+brakes on the 7.0. I may have gone 7.0.

Thanks. I ordered a 7.0. If it turns out I want to invest in wheels I'd jump up to carbon anyway.

I'm not personally convinced that in a bike of this weight, with a motor, investing in lightweight bling bits makes much sense.

Yeah I'm an XT guy too, that helped.

I think you made the right choice - the fancier drivetrain components on the 8.0 will just get chewed up quicker on an ebike and won't give you any major advantages in shifting or weight.
