Hi all. Got one of the first ones in Oct 2019 and what a bike. Made a few mods like pushing to 160 (huge difference), better rubber etc and a CC coil. It's steep here up in the Tweed Valley but bike is just brilliant. Question: I eat cassettes like all eMTBs. But on the 34T Chainring. It is described as per picture as: "sram 34t eagle for emtb x sync2". According to the web this doesn't exist? Is it just a stock 34T sram eagle chainring with boost? Can one use an aftermarket such as Unite? I see such a price variation in what seems to be the same product but hey welcome to cycle parts. Also anyone used a 36T? Better? Any links most appreciated!

Thank you Wilko I think that is it why on earth couldn't I find that? Too many falls at the Golfie??? Has anyone tried a 36T? Improved on the 34T (I see threads in the US saying so)?

Yes that's what I read as it's the first three gears that get eaten so fast. I think I'll try it out. I must say the 160 mod made a huge difference on the steep stuff and for BB which is just too low.

Yup - 36T allows you to use 2 or 3 gears larger on the rear so you get better chain wrap (more teeth) and theoretically better chain life.

I changed to the Sram 38T Chainring within the first month of owning mine, you need to make sure the one you buy is for Boost. Got mine from Bike Discount.

After 5 ish months I got a new wheelset and changed to the 10-50 xd driver cassette.

XD cassettes are down to 10T vs the standard 11T.
The standard E150 Sram Eagle cassette is the one that fits the standard shimano freehub.

Gotcha. Would be lovely if these component makers built genuine uprated drivetrains rather than slapping eMTB on standard components.

Much more expensive cassettes!!!!!!
To be fair, they can also be a fair bit lighter and give you a slightly higher top gear that you don’t need if you are also going with a bigger chain ring.

Hadn’t noticed this seal before, even though I’ve been drooling over the bike ! Is this normal? Any one else see it ? 21MY e150rs
