Purchased new Bosch battery and it's 5 years old - problem or not?

Should I be concerned, or not, that I just took delivery of a new Bosch Powertube 625 battery from an official dealer and the box states a (manufacture?) date of Jan 2016, so is over 5 years old?!

Is this normal?

Will the battery provide full charge and service?

Nothing to worry about, or a problem being supplied with old stock?

Thanks.

Eh? They weren't available in 2016.

There is a way of getting the date code off the battery sticker, I'll have a google and let you know what it is.

Can you take a pic of the battery sticker so I can compare it to mine and try and decipher it?

Yeah, it's written the wrong (for the UK) way round, but it does say YY.MM.DD above the numbers.

Still, it's good to know it's a very recent production.

Just had the same problem. Sold a vertical Powertube 625 I had bought by mistake and the buyer was complaining it was from 2017 and not new - 200417. This although the 625 only came out in 2020.He wanted his money back but thanks in part to this thread he is now satisfied so I am I.
Thx.
