I’m I hadn’t noticed that @Stihlodg, I think it’s a Swallow, the Swallow’s are starting to return from their winter migration in Africa to nest in the Uk. It’s a real sign that’s summer is on its way.
It’s amazing to know that these small birds do that sort of mileage twice in a year, and return to their same nest site year after year.

Not been on an assisted ride for months.
25 mile circuit from my front door, didn't see a soul.
But taking a shower after the ride, found a sheep tick firmly attached somewhere unmentionable
, glad I found it.
Tight roadie shorts from now on...

f*****g fast…….. google says 30-45kmph when feeding but can reach speeds of 55kmphDo you know the air speed velocity of this unladen swallow? Asking for my friend…Monty.

It’s difficult to bridge the difference between any of those species based on a photo. I’m a little hawkish on my first suggestion.
Well having thought that the bike was out of action it came as a huge surprise to find out that it was ready to pick up ..massive thanks to Ian & Mart at The Bike Place Kielder for service above & beyond ..
Having missed the ride with the lads I went up to Kielder and rode every section of singletrack that is currently open ( most of the Lonesome Pine & Osprey Trail is still closed ) along with a stretch of The Lakeside Way some of it a few times ..

Sunday ride. The route was pretty XC based, but it was fun there too.
