I'm in the process of getting a 2020 Kenevo which has a 34.9mm seatpost. I have an AXS reverb dropper from my old bike which is 30 9mm. I have seen that there are shims available to accommodate this.

My question is; are there any negatives of shimming a 30,9 post into a 34.9mm? Is it an acceptable practice or could this cause warranty issues etc?

I have done something very similar, ie a fairly thick shim. I found zero negatives. In fact you have a positive; you will never, ever, get your seat post stuck in the seat tube!

As for an acceptable practice, why do you think that there are so many people making shims? I cannot believe it will cause any warranty problems at all.
