bike looks great. Had my VLT for 9 months and just fitted the Factory Grip 2, just wondering how the Fox dhx2 is going? and what size did you put on?

Hi Hadz, the measurement of the dhx2 is 185x55 trunnion, rear-end on the vlt sight is linear, the system is designed for air shock and therefore I had to make a tuning from a specialist who made the dhx2 more progressive, otherwise, also with harder springs, I used all the suspension, even on small jumps.
Now it is very good, but it has cost so much money

thanks for the response, yep it's easy for the $$ to add up, doh this so addictive. I was thinking the MRP Progressive Spring would work well - MRP Progressive Springs more $$ :( and as I am still a newbie not sure if I would notice the difference. Starting to ride and enjoy the jump style trails in Oz more and notice I've bottomed out the shock on a few I've tried adding more pressure. ThoughI've still got the original 0.4 spacer in though, logic says try a bigger spacer.

I had the same problem when I pool it my dhx2 coil on my VLT, blew thru travel even with a heavier spring and compression cranked. I purchased a mrp progressive coil (550/650) for my 190lb weight and couldn't be happier with the results. supple off top but as the coil gets to about 80% travel there's a sweet spot of extra cushion. almost feels like my evil wreckoning a bit. so much better than stock dpx2 shock.

Hey! Just checked out the MRP website and it mentions that the 185x55 DHX2 is incompatible with the spacers for the coil. Do you mind sharing how you made it work? Or what I'm missing? Cheers

super deluxe is what I would be getting if I was ugrading. They are one of the best shocks I’ve used that is easy to come by and easy to set up... IMO they feel better than a X2 when properly setup especially if being used with linear suspension. These bikes are not good with coils as mentioned which sucks because we all know carrying extra weight is not a concern. Not sure if a DVO Jade/topaz fits as that might be another option

The new range models come in an XL

I'm 188cm and it just passes for me. I tried a giant and the L in that was so cramped yet the merida was perfect in a L

I spoke too soon! Went for a ride today got 10 km's in the dreaded stop. Then started again on for a few more km's stop...climb for a bit no assistance ...uuggghhh.. start again, stop again, start again, then finally a E020 error nothing doing. Then after I get back home try starting again E010 error, left it for a while now nothing at all! Bugger!
Still without the bike 3 weeks and counting.... one downside to nobody having them here is that no bike shop knows about any issues! Shimano have looked and it and determined the motor is fine, i.e. not a shimano issue, my money is still on the charge port. Now waiting on Norco apparently....

I wonder if Norco have plans for an XL frame? I loved the bike when I rode it but at 185cm I’d prefer a larger frame unfortunately :(
They sure are. I’m exactly the same height as you and I’m always in between L and XL. It depends on the riding and trails each person does I think. Some days I wish it had a longer wheelbase/ reach and other days it feels spot on ? I almost bought the Meta Power because it was a fair bit longer but I’m glad I didn’t. The L Norco feels so playful but plenty stable on the fast stuff. New models will be available in alloy and in xl too. I’m in a position atm where I can sell my bike to a mate and buy the new Merida 8000 in XL and not lose hardley any money but I’ll take one for a spin first to see if it’s worth it. I think bikes are getting so long/slack nowadays that they are becoming boring to ride on single track now and are more groomed towards bike parks. I want a bike that still has that normal bike feel and is poppy and not just ‘planted’. I really think Norco achieved that w this thing.

Hey mate. I had the same issue. Opened up the charger port and there was some water in there (must have gotten in here when I washed it). I used some contact cleaner and an air compressor and blew it all out and haven’t had an issue since. Yours must have caused some corrosion or gone in a bit further. But I’d say you’re right in saying it’s the charger port.

Finally got bike back today, they replaced the cable harness which seems to have fixed the problem, time will tell! Fingers crossed been missing riding it!

How do you find those Michelin's Axel?
Sorry mate I didn’t see your post until now ?‍♂️they are amazing. I’ve had all tyres at some stage or another on my bikes from 2.2-2” to 3” on my old stumpy fatty.
Here where it’s really dry and dusty the best tyres are (well I thought they are) and what everyone else is using are the 2.5 DHF / aggressor or dhr2 combo. I ran it for ages but my favourite tyre has always been the magic Mary super gravity casing in 2.35 but I didn’t like anything they made for the rear and I could allow myself to mix tyre brands so went to e13 trs and they were great but somewhat vague feeling. Back to Maxxis. Then a good friend bought a second hand set of the Wild Enduro front/rear specific in Gum x compound and couldn’t stop going on about them. So I bought myself a set in the Magic x compound (less sticky) front/rear combo and I will safely say that I won’t be going back to Maxxis. Just awesome. Most predictable set of tyres I’ve ever tried. You look at them while riding and think (these won’t ride well) almost look like a beefed up Hans Dampf. Rolls better than a Assegai and grips just as well if not better (I never tried the HD casing in the Assegai). the only criticism I’ll give it is it needs more psi than I’d like for a tyre that can grip that good. Can’t run it as low as the Magic Mary I use to love (18-20psi) no. The Michelin needs 22front and a couple more on the rear. Mind you the ones in the picture are 2.4. Not the Ebike specific 2.6-2.8 E-wild. But if these are this good in 2.4 I’m really thinking of trying the Ewild in 2.6 to gain a bit more height in the front end. Don’t get me wrong the 2.4 is actually a true 2.4 so it isn’t small it’s just I want to up the bottom bracket a little bit. Hope that helps ?

Has any of you Slight owners ridden a Decoy? I would like to see a comparison of the 2 bikes by someone who has actually ridden both.
I rode both and I like the sight better because of battery and fun the decoy is great with great specs but that 500wh battery kills everything

How much do you want to make me one for? lol I have the VLT2 and I get nothing but chain drops and it’s annoying let me know what chainring size your using and I can purchase one as well
It's pretty easy to make, just folded flat alloy, drilled countersunk hole. Used concrete anchor to fit into pivot bolt with countersunk style head.
Still haven't got around to making another one yet.
