Merida eONE-SIXTY 900e 2019 is all black with golden lettering.
Presented in Eurobike 2018.

I ordered one of 2018 that is green and black. The specs seem to me to be pretty much equal, if there is any diff in specs or geometry for 2019 - other than the color scheme - merida didn’t spoke of it.

I like flashy colored bikes, so I’m happy with my green black color scheme over this, but it’s nice looking this way nonetheless. Maybe they will offer both color schemes in 2019? Not likely though.

What do you guys think is your favorite? Green/black or this black/black? Was it a good way to refresh the image of a two year old eMTB design?

Looks very retro , like the JPS formula one cars from decades ago , I think they are trying to mirror the suspension colours, for me I would prefer the old colours

Not sure the colour scheme is going to make any difference tbh - these things are evolving so fast that a 2 year old design from a manufacturer without significant brand cache is unlikely to be that popular in 2019 IMO.

I agree with you, it wont make a big difference. Curiously I believe it would make a bigger impact if the bike were black/orange with the orange fox 36 like other brands are doing. Or a somewhat diferent geometry with a slacker head angle. Or with a 29” whell up front. These days a lot of brands are going for way slacker head angles to get attention.

However for me the Merida eOne-Sixty as it is in the 2017/2018 (and likely 2019 also) version has a very balanced geometry (not too much and not too little of nothing) and is a very playfull ebike which is why I chose it even now. I believe in the phrase “if it’s working well dont break it” and I think maybe merida thinks this also. I will however put a 29” wheel up front lol.

I also believe that this model from 2017 won't make it into 2020. They must be reading the next one already. Anyway I just received my green 900e (2018 version) yesterday so now it's ride it ride it ride it ;)

Out of interest what do you think may change , they may tweak geometry , add more travel , and update components or 29 er version . But unless there’s a new motor and battery system , it would be change for no reason ?

Honestly some reviews have been calling on Merida to slacken the heat tube angle. The norm for enduro bikes seems to be setting on around 65º and Merida is still on 66,5º wich is now more common on trail bikes. So that will probably be the biggest difference unless some new revolution happens during 2019 (like Fazua coming up with a same form factor but stronger motor... for instance). For me this would be killer because my next Bike after Merida (hopefully 4 years from now) will certainly have to replace both my electric and normal bikes at the same time. Other than that I'm happily waiting to be surprised if they can :)

For me 66,5º is ok because I am not a veryyy agressive rider, and since I changed the front wheel for a 29er it is in fact a little less than 66,5º as a result. If I feel the need in the meantime for a slacker head angle there are good headsets for that, so that's always an option.
