The new controller looks promising....

Wonder if Luna will sell a controller separately?

a lot of bang for the buck, but Luna have never been known for their good warranty etiquette.

Forget the etiquette ...
1 year on the battery and 6 months on the motor is worse than useless - not to mention the 2 years frame warranty.

SB minimum 5 years on the frame and 2 years on the motor & battery. If they can't do that they aren't worth looking at.

what is SB ?

About warranties. Announcements is just commercial communication. The reality is often different.
Warranties applied after several months of fight (where you haven't used your bike).
Quicker, but at purchase you have paied 2 x more expensive than equivalent bike in other brand.
etc...
Everyone to chose her priorities, personally the warranties is not an major criteria.

they have always been a DIY builder outfit and have never offered much warranty. They are trying to compete with the big players who offer much better warranty but their bait is the price.

After reaching out to Luna, it looks like they will only be offering the V2 controller to existing X1 and X2 owners.... :sneaky:

New product. I think it is better that other perform develloping. In several months, when the component market will be stabilised and we have the return of the V2 controller owners. We could appreciate if it is an interesting upgrade

Luna isn't a big player, although much bigger than they used to be. Not sure about the geometry, but it's a great bike for the $. Someone will try to sell something similar with more customer service eventually and compete with the legacy bike companies.
