Lots of these popping up. Heres some pics, hoping to get more info and pricing asap.

For now, here's some colour options and capacity info. Click here for latest information

All new almost finished 504kwh, names 'Box Battery', from the Belgian company Levo Range Extenders. This is a plug and play solution.

Alternitively, an Italian company is offering these below. I don't think this is plug and play so means splicing of cables is required:
224wh (gray color below) and another 310wh ( blue & green color)

Very interesting Rob, I presume the kit will be supplied with a modified cable that connects to the motor and also T’s into the existing battery? It would be great to see more photos of how it all fits together.

there are some installation pics on the range extender facebook page its a very neat wire splice and he even supplies a new original cable in case you have warranty repair you can put the bike back to standard
hes also working on a box style battery which is what i am interested in since fitting the fox van coil shock i dont have room for a big bottle

I’ve managed to speak at length with Danny. I can assure you all that while he may not seem the cheapest option the quality of the battery cells and all cables are exceptional. I hope he will soon share with us all his products. I’m waiting for the triangular box battery. That should give me around a 1000wh

Does he have a bottle which may fit a Kenevo?

I hate to piss on your chips but shipping a large lithium battery to the US will be phenomenally expensive at best and impossible at worst.

Surely you can ship them the long way by boat? The batteries he uses must get form the far east to Italy in the first place?

I'm no longer a qualified Dangerous Goods shipper (expired in 2015) but it certainly hasn't got easier since then. Shipping into the US is the most difficult and if the battery isn't CE certified it won't stand a chance. FYI, the maximum penalty for a false declaration on the DG paperwork is $250k fine and 10 years in prison.

Boat? Yes, but see my point about CE certification.
The cells used in pack are just that, cells, and therefore less energy dense than an assembled pack where a chain reaction is possible if a cell shorts out. Also the companies shipping the cells will be well versed in DG regs and will have all the required, specialist, packaging available.
I used to ship 110Wh batteries around the world. The shipping and handling for a box of 10 was more than the batteries cost!

Ok - thanks guys.

Unless I'm mistaken, this is a simple lithium ion battery build any RC car guy could do within a aluminum water bottle? Maybe I could pay Danny for the wiring harness and build instructions?

Thoughts anyone?

I don't see why not. Only stumbling block I can think of would be the guy being unwilling to share his IP for fear of it being repeatedly copied.

Makes sense but a USA solution is a large market. Hummmmm

Heck I could sell 20 of these to my buddies:) Maybe he can let me distribute IP:)
