Left side cover fit

The side cover on my 2018 Focus Jam2 C bike has always been a very poor fit. There's a noticeable gap where the wiring harness makes the cover bulge and not want to lie flat. I've routed things better (factory pinched the large wire between the frame and motor) but it's still pretty bad. I think some of my squeaks have in fact been coming from this cover. Pushing on it yields the same amplified creak. I think this is what they call a type A cover and there is also a type B. Will this fit? Looks like it could provide more relief for wires too and maybe do a better job of keeping dust and dirt out which the type A cover does not. Anyone try this?

Or maybe this cover that looks a lot larger and more overlap. But it might interfere with the frame.

Here is the Shimano ebike with the larger cover. Might interfere with the focus frame but since the cover is only about $15. I might try it out.
